Math is cool.

Last weeks student of the week is none other than Tiesha Alexander.  Not only is she a wonderful math student who always is working, she is also one of Southwind’s best track and field athlete.  Congratulations!

We will have a Chapter 4 Test tomorrow.  It will cover 4-1 through 4-5.   It will contain information from the quiz and and also 4-4 and 4-5.  There are specific problems on page 389 that you should pay special attention too.  These problems are 2, 8, 14, 16, 37, 42, 44, 51, 52.  We went over these today.  The bonus will be like example 6 from 4-5.  Good luck!  The first person from each class to leave a comment will recieve five bonus points!

I am still working on grading the quizzes so you should get those back on wednesday.   The assignment for tomorrow will be on pages 341-342.  We will have time to finish these in class tomorrow.  The numbers are 1, 2, 13-20, 23-28, 35, 36, 43, 44, 53, 54

Precalculus will be taking a quiz over 4-1 through 4-3.  The quiz will be drawn from homework problems.  Sixth Period is a day behind and will take their quiz on Tuesday.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful break.  It is with much regret that we must get back to work.  We will have homework in both Algebra II and Precalculus tomorrow.  Precalculus homework will be found on page 308-309.  The problems will be numbers 1, 2, 5, 9, 12, 15, 21, 22, 31, 34, ,43, 55, 56, 63.

The student of the second nine weeks is Quimani Watson.  He improved from the first to second nine weeks tremendously.  His work flawless during the second nine weeks.  In this nine weeks he was also practicing and working on a school play, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”  Although he had extracuriculur activities going on he still did a good job.
